Take A Hike!

Take A Hike!

Hike Mt. Chocorua on September 20th with your Seacoast Kettlebell friends!  We will meet up 7:00am at the gym and carpool up to the trail-head then head up the Champney Falls trail to the peak.  Will and Christian have both offered to carry the 88lb kettlebell to the top for photo ops!  Plan on being on the mountain from approx 9:00am-3:00pm.  Please e-mail steve@seacoastkettlebell.com and post here if  you are interested.

Rain Date is on the 27th of September.  Please include in your reply if you are willing to drive, and if you want to pack your own lunch, or arrange for one of the local eateries to whip up a nice picnic lunch.  If there is enough interest in the catered lunch, we will make it happen.

Keep an eye on the blog for updates!

Cool! Can’t wait! (to watch Princess and Will-i-am carry the beasts up the mountain! he he)

    • Christian says:

If you’re serious about challenging me to carry the bulldog up yo the top, you’re on. You know I never turn a challenge down. The harder the better. In fact, kidding or not… I will be carrying it to the top.

Steve, remind me to tell you about the time I hiked to the top barefoot with my dog after she caused me to fall in the water at the bottom. I might add that it was late October and about 55 degrees at the bottom.

(pssst… Amy, the 88lb is called the bulldog, not the beast)

  2. Tony says:

I’m carrying Christian, His bulldog..WIll and his bulldog plus one of the pink bells with my teeth to the top.

  3. Jason says:

Sounds like fun! It’s been a few years since I’ve carried that much weight up a mountain (in addition to my fat arse, that is).

  4. Air Assault Daddy says:

Hell yea, will beer be made available?

  5. Krista says:

    I love that hike!

  6. Des says:

I’d love to go. If I can get the time off from work I will definitly try to be there. Maybe I can even get my mom to go.

  7. Craig says:

I will be there with my son, in tow. Will also offer a ride up to anyone who needs one…

  8. Sapp 6 says:

I guess I officially didnt RSVP with my beer comment. I will also be hiking up this mountain on the same day that SKB will be making thier trek. What a coincidence!

  9. Krista says:

I’m planning on being there bright and early.

  10. DieZel says:

I will not be attending the hike. Have fun.

  11. Peter says:

Oh Dawn! I’m so sad you won’t be joining us on our little booze walk, er, hike. Yes, hike, a little hike. It might not be worth doing without you there but we’ll try to soldier on. Do you know they sell these booze decanters shaped like little kettlebells on the Crossfit website? Make a nice gift for Sapp.

  12. Faina says:

    I’ll be there – though I won’t promise much skill…

  13. Faina says:

I didn’t realize I had so many muscles in my toocus! You guys are no joke!!!

  14. Steve says:

The weather looks great for tomorrow, little chilly in the AM (40s), but up in the 70s by noon!! Remember while it might be 70 degrees at sea-level, it can be pretty cold up top!
    Some suggested packing items:
Water, lunch & snacks, Sunscreen, Extra Socks, water,
Sweater/sweatshirt, Jacket, hat, gloves, camera, 88 pound kettlebell, water, treats for Tony’s dog.
See you at 0700 in the parking lot behind the gym!!

  15. Christian says:

I can’t stress how important extra shoes and socks can be. I know that the hard way, last time I hiked this mountain I hiked it barefoot, and it was about 60 degrees, cloudy and humid at the bottom. The top was freezing, but luckily dryer.

So Tony’s bringing his dog? I was going to ask if anyone was bringing their dogs, if there were no other dogs I’d bring my beast, but she’s terrible with other dogs and needs to always be onleash.

I’ll just leave her. She’s a jerk anyway.

Barring a somewhat miraculous and as yet undiscovered capacity for getting up at 0600 Sunday morning I will not be participating in this fun-filled activity after all. Please call when you get home and save me the mental and emotional energy from worrying whether you got lost or ended up in a ditch somewhere.

      • Steve says:

Didn’t we talk about your not being allowed to post until you get a picture up?? Don’t worry, Tony’s pack of pooches is leading the way so we won’t get lost. Thanks for the “concern” now – BURPEES GO!!!
